Brooke Adams (actress)

After playing roles in television and lowbudget films such as Shock Waves, Adams appeared in Days of Heaven and the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers . She has also starred in the films Cuba , The Dead Zone , Key Exchange , and Gas Food Lodging .

Adams was born in New York City, New York, the daughter of Rosalind , an actress, and Robert K. Adams, who was a producer, actor, and former vice president of CBS, as well as a relative of presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. Her sister is actress Lynne Adams. She attended the High School for the Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet. Adams is married to actor Tony Shalhoub. They have two adopted children together.
